Didn't want to hijack the other thread so I started this one. Hefe is what I posted on his thread"My 30S ran like a champ and I didn't experience any of the above. However; I decided to "make it better" so I added a ZEV spring kit and a Zev connector. Went to the range and intermittently the trigger would not reset. Sometimes on the first shot, sometimes on the 5th. Never shot more than 5 rounds where the trigger did not fail to reset at some point. Removed the ZEV connector, re-installed the factory one and the reset problem went away. Added an extended slide release. Went to the range. slide would not lock back on the last round no matter what mag I used. Couldn't even manually push the slide rearward and have it lock back on an empty mag. Removed the extended slide release and re-installed the factory one and the problem was solved. The spring kit is still in there and it runs fine now. Go figure." Well, all is not well after all. Doesn't matter what mag I have in, sometimes ( often) the slide will not lock back on the last round. I can pull it rearward with an empty mag in it and if I move the gun in the slightest the slide releases on its own. I can pull it back violently and let the slide go and the slide wont lock. This is with either factory mag. The pistol is 3 weeks old and has less than 50 rounds thru it. Win. white box, critical defense, monarch 124 gr jhp. an assortment of ammo, usually with 5 rounds loaded in a mag to check for group. Ideas?

Use an unloaded mag and check to see how much the mag follower is pushing up the notch on the slide stop. Glock malfunctions seem more common when the original parts are 'upgraded'.

The front of the slide release is being pushed up .155 in when an empty mag is inserted. The back is higher at about .179. This is from laying flush on the frame rail when no mag is in. All parts are now stock. I can push on the bottom of the empty mag and raise the release button even higher by about the same amount.
