not trying to bother yall with NYC gun law questions but I do have a reason.
1.Some one mentioned fine gun shopes in NYC,and I know you have to have a permit to buy a gun in NYC and I of course dont have one.
2.Now for my question,I will be going on vacation to NYC next summer,i know i will check out various shopes and stores but when I heard about a fine gun shop I was wondering can I have the NYC shop ship a gun to an FFL in my town

The dealer shipping the gun will need to have your transfer dealers FFL on file before he can ship the gun. The dealer will also need to be willing to ship the gun- remember that businesses can opt not to do business with anyone that they so please.

It is, according to the NRA_ILA NYC Law Site that non-residents may procure long guns in NYC without the same licensing requirements as a resident:
A non-resident of New York City who had not been issued a permit may purchase a rifle or shotgun from a licensed New York City dealer provided that he subscribes and swears or affirms to a written statement that he would not be disqualified from purchasing a rifle or shotgun if he were a city resident, that he is qualified to purchase a rifle or shotgun in the place where he resides and can document that he is a bona-fide resident of a jurisdiction outside New York City. Non-resident purchasers have 24 hours to remove any long guns so purchased from New York City, and in the event it is necessary, the dealer is authorized to deliver the gun at a terminal to a representative of the railroad, airline or shipping company for placement aboard such train, plane or ship to have the gun and purchaser in same transportation.

Can i buy a gun in NYC?

NO! Can you buy a gun in your state from a NYC dealer? YES If he is willing to ship to your FFL.

I live in NJ, so I know. There are some great dealers in NYC, ironically though, 99% of law abiding citizens can't buy in NYC... F'd up, I know... But true

There are only a handful of shops in the 5 boros so handgun selections are slim. Also since they tend to be the only game in town they charge a premium for guns. The Beretta gallery has some beautiful shotguns and Holland & Holland have a showroom (appt. only) in Manhattan. Some of them are $150,000.00 and up!:what: The thing is, since you don't have a permit, you'd be buying a gun without even touching it! You'd be better off buying it anywhere else in the country. That's what we do here in the city. BTW even with a transfer fee of $75 it's still cheaper!
