Handgun class for NYC pistol permit?

I'm in the process of getting my NYC pistol permit for my home. I have already had the interview. I have also received my carry permit for Connecticut which I took the NRA handgun course. However, I am wondering if I need to take a pistol course specifically for NYC. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
