I like Leupold scopes and own a few. I have no idea of how their customer service is as I have never needed it. Even the first I bought in the early' 80's is still doing it's job.
Theres very few optics out there like the FX-II anymore. Be hard to get something similar to replace it in the same price range....heck I think even the more expensive options are limited/gone.Congratulations ! now is the time to sell it, it's unused and in the box. I been selling my Leupold scopes when they have been replaced, owning them is too much hassle.
Waiting for a baby is a month fasterHaving waited for 10 months for a replacement on this scope, I remind myself I only waited a couple weeks for the other one. I have been using Leupold scopes for 50 years. One negative experience ain't bad In all those years. I have had plenty of other scopes fail, I won't name brands. They were guaranteed too, but the quality of scope as a whole, just wasn't worth sending it back. Lol forgot where I was going with this.
I guess I'm happy with life. Don't sweat the small ****.
Exactly what they told me@Gumby0961 I wonder if the delay on receiving your scope has anything to do with manufacturing cycle. I would expect that Leopold only makes Fixed Power scopes once a year.... I don't see any Fixed Power scopes at my local stores. Other than red dots. I personally like lower power variables without a lot of bells and whistles. The Freedom line is a good value in my opinion
Definitely a long wait, no doubt.Waiting for a baby is a month faster
