True enough. Lots of people think we need gun control because we don't have gun control. In truth, we have some gun control everywhere (Federal), and lots of gun control in some places, including most of the northeast, Illinois, Maryland, California, etc.

mp510, That being the case, he still isn't going to just walk in and get a gun. In MN you have to wait for 7-10 days minimum after filing paperwork at the local PD just to get a "permit to purchase". Then you can go to a store to buy one and still have to go through the whole NICS thing.

TJ- I understand what you are saying, and I actually agree with you. What I was trying to say is articulate is that obviously, he is nto in line with the times or with the current situation. No dioubt, he remembers a bygone era and thinks it is the present.

It would be easy to disseminate factual information concerning gun laws if the media would publish facts and the laws/restrictions accurately without left-leaning bias.
But that's like trying to pick up a turd from the clean end.
