Any decent low price red dot sight not made in China?

After having a BSA disintegrate, I tried a Bushnell reddot, it has served my well, I mounted it on a: .223, a .357 mag s&w, and it currently resides on my Moss 835 ultimag turkey gun. It never lost zero, always works. Cost me $89 from Midway. :D

The Bushnell 4reticle trophy I have on my saiga is made in Korea.

I don't care how good the primary arms reviews. Its made in China so it need not apply to me. I got nothing against lower end optics on a fun gun but the Chinese have absolutely no clue how to make optics of even a marginaly serviceable grade.

Guns yes...TV's yes....smartphones yes....optics NO

EOTech is the cheapest US made. Anything cheaper than $399 is made in china.

PA aren't completely made in China, some parts and assembly are done by PA here. These optics have excellent reviews, and if you ever have a problem they offer superb customer service.

Anything under $100 will be made in China.

There is one RDS that is made in Korea. I've seen it marketed as the S.P.O.T. Dot and I believe also as a Burris (?). Otherwise you're looking at Aimpoint (Sweden) and ELCAN (Canada). The EOTech is made in the US and in the same quality league but is a different technology, holographic rather than a red dot.

If you're OK with China, the Vortex Strikefire (approx $150), Vortex SPARC ($200), and Lucid HD7 ($180ish via Amazon) are all quality options. Not quite equal to an Aimpoint, but definitely serviceable for many purposes.

You aren't going to find a non-Chinese-made optic under $100. Simple. And if you're putting this on a fun gun, what's the problem? If you're putting this on a rifle that has a job to do, then I hope you'll pony up a little more money for a quality optic.

And I can vouch for Vortex optics as well.

I run an Aimpoint T1, but I wouldn't hesitate to trust the Vortex SPARC. Starts at $289 (MSRP - easy to find for much less), which is a stupid low price for such a thing.

A friend has the SPARC, I have an H1... the SPARC is very good for the money (don't pay over $200) but there are minor differences in its quality and major differences in the mount. When you start thinking "trust this" mounts become important, and costly.

I recently got a Lucid HD7 as a toy and I think it may be the best under-$400 red dot for optical quality and features. It also has an integral mount which is clumsy to install but very solid once on. However, it weighs nearly 13oz and takes up a lot of real estate (rail estate?). You don't get everything.

Sightron has a red dot that runs in the $150 range and is Japan made. I have one on a m&p 15-22 and really like it. The rings included are something I replaced before mounting but otherwise it's a nice optic, comes with a sun shade and a kill flash for guys interested in all of that. Not American made but a far step above similar china made optics.

The Leatherwood CMR scope is made in China, and is very highly regarded. Haven't found one person who has been unhappy with one.

I prefer to buy goods made in the USA whenever possible, but I won't NOT buy a quality product just because it is made in China.
