Have someone mill you a mount that places the OKO sideways .

I've seen some USPSA Open guns done this way to keeo the dot low over the slide.
What if the dang red dots were mounted with the dove tail above the sight, I.E, upsidedown? Would all the sight adjustments work in a backwards mode?
Could I make a side mount with a weaver rail high enough to mount this upsidedown style?

I have machine access that would make anyone on THR green with envy. I'm very new to AK's, but would dearly love to experiment with this on my new VEPR (which I haven't even had the chance to fire once yet in the six months since buying it on the group buy here:banghead: )

Please pm if you have some ideas along this line. Autocad files gladly converted to tool steel prototypes:D

I don't think you can get any lower then this set-up.

It's an Aimpoint Comp C with Aimpoints low thumbscrew mount (unlike other Aimpoint models this mount IS included with the Comp C model).

The only difference between the Comp C and say the M models is a slightly reduced water resistance/heat rating and the absence of flip-up covers an turrets strap (I installed Butler Creek covers in this pic).

I picked this up for under $300 new, but I think they go for about $350 now.
