Any half-decent, cheap .308 or 30-06 guns?

It seems savage gets a great big hooray but I would like to recomend that Charles Daly. I recently bought one new. I got the superior grade and i paid more than i would have for a field grade but it was worth every dime it looks good shoots great and i wouldn't trade it for a savage for any reason. I would imagine the field grade would be more your price range if your shootin for cheap.

Earlier this year I purchased a Charles Daly LHB mini-Mauser in .223. It was also the superior grade. I believe I paid about $475.00 for it at the local gun emporium. Did a review on it here at THR, shouldn't be too hard to find.

I'm still working up loads for it, so it wouldn't be fair to comment on the accuracy.
