Natchez is offering a deal on free hazmat and shipping on orders of 10,000+ TULAmmo primers, including up to 40 pounds of other stuff in with the same order. I'm finding this really tempting since I just killed all my LP and LPM primers and emptied my 8 pound jugs of Bullseye and H110, but I've never heard anything about them, good or bad. I didn't even realize they sold components. I've loaded 15 or 20k round with Wolf primers, are the TULAmmo ones comperable?

From what I hear, the Tula plant is the same plant that makes wolf ammo. Wolf is just a brand/distributor name, so you can see the same ammo under a different brand.

I bought 10k of the Tula 5.56 small rifle when Powder Valley ran the same deal. I have not used them yet - still working through my winchesters. I have used the PMC small pisto primers and Wolf LR and both have done very well. I wont buy other primers for more money.

I have used the Tula 223s and they work just fine. Are you sure on Natchez's deal or did you mean PV because they have the free hazmat shipping deal going on? As matter of fact we are ordering from PV tomorrow.

Herter's-Wolf-Tula are all made in the same plant in Russia. IMHO it's good stuff, primers or ammo.

I just got 5k Tula small pistol primers. I loaded a few hundred rounds. They all went bang in my S&W 19, M&P 9mm and CZ 75 P01. My CZ75b which I have set up for competition with a 15 lb mainspring. Had numerous failures to ignite the Tulas, but they all went off when re-struck. Hope that helps. I will continue to use the Winchester small pistol primers for my CZ75b. All the others pistols will feed on the Tulas from now on.

I have used the tule small pistol and rifle primers. In my 9mm the velocity varies only slightly from cci500 and win sp. I have noticed that they seem a little harder the the win sp. I have used them in glocks and rugers and my s&w airweight I have gotten 100% reliablity. MY lcp380 has had trouble shooting wolf ammp and I have not tried them in it yet. Also they seen to be a little harder to seat then the others that I use.

I had a bad run of the Small Pistol Primers a year or so ago. It made me so mad that I swore I would never buy anything from them again. When the went on powder valley for 20 bucks a 1000, I said the heck with it and ordered again. So far so good.

Powder Valley is shipping only,, with 5000 tula primers. and add anything else with on hazmat fee.

Sorry your right,, must of changed it...

I hoop they are good. I just ordered 10K of them from PV. I also just ordered 16# of powder from Hi-tech along with some different bullets in .30 & .223 cal.

All together I spent a little over $500. My wife will probably be mad & I don't think telling her "but I saved $300" will do much good. Maybe taking her to the range & letting her enjoy some of the shooting will help bring a little smile back.

Wolf LPM primers are too hard for my Ruger RH and SBH revolvers; many misfires. The TC Contender is OK with them...including the ones the revolvers didn't like.

Haven't had any issues with Wolf rifle primers. They seem to work OK, but most of the Wolf primed ammo I've used has been shot in Saigas and Mini 14s, so the cross section is small.
