Any one having these issues with there Kahr p380's

I bought a p380 a little over a month ago,and sent it in the day after my purchase.It had multipal light strikes per magazine using 3 different mags.
4 different ammo manufactures in both fmj and hollow point.I also had major
bullet set back along with the expected failure to go into battery.I bought one 30 days prior for my wife and it runs flawless,hence the 2nd purchase.
I tought it would be a nice upgrade to my ever flawless P3AT that cost1/2
the money.I called Kahr today as it has been 30 days and no word.
I was told they could not give me a E.T.A as many have come back with the
same issue and the engineers have been trying to redesign the the flawed parts for a permenent solution to the problem.Im thinking barrel/Lock up/ramp problem.Im not bashing Kahr as I own a PM9,CW9 that have been great.
I do wish they did there testing in house and not let the public do the testing.
I also think they should have told me up front what was going on.
Ps.They say there in the testing faze for the cure.

If the guys at kahr forum can't help send it in. My 2 kahrs run great new with no break in. But as you know . KT has had so many issues too but they fix it so give kahr the same chance. I had a p-11 that was ju8nk out of the box. That was the first firearm in 43 years that I could not make run . Sent it in ,it came back perfect. SO give kahr a chance if the forum guys can't help. Remember how bad some early P3a and pf-9 were.

Kahr knows they have some issues so give them the time to fix it.

Oh, I does sound like whinning a little bit. Good luck and staaay caaalm in could have been a 1500 dollar s&w custom or kimber that was screwn up.

My Kahr .380 is flawless and so much easier to shoot well than my Keltec ever was. One of the best switches I ever made. I have a PM40 that had to go back once, but is now also flawless.

200 rounds

It took the full 200 rounds that tne owners manual stated to get it to function flawless ,but after that it runs smooth as butter. I might try a few extra rounds before I gave up on it, they are super concealable.

It probably does sound like whinning,but I bought it for hot weather carry. they could have said something up front about the problem and what there doing to fix it,rather than wait 30 days to tell me they dont know when theywill have it fixed.Im a lot more understanding when I know whats going on than when Im sitting waiting for a delivery that does not come.I did try to put 200 rnds through it but with the seveer set back and not getting more tha 2rnds in a row to fire it seemed pretty senceless to continue.

Have you let a seasond shooter try to work with your pistol. Might help some. Is it well cleaned up and lubbed on all bearing points. Some people just open the box and shot. If you would have bought an early Kel Tec product you would have gone through the same issues. It does take time ,maybe many months to find a fix so learn to deal with it. Ruger had major issues with several fireams and all others have problems from time to time. KT's .22 mag has taken 3 different up grades to git it right, maybe. And well over 1year +.

It appears to matter little which builder it is in the fact that all these small guns and some large ones as well have teething problems early in life.
Kel-Tec P3AT's,LCP's,Taurus TCP,Kahr,Diamondback,and Sig.
All of them.
My Diamondback was replaced and the replacement has been flawless.
Have read several over at the Kahr forum that have sent their P380's back and where very pleased after words and a couple that were not.
Same issue with the KT and LCP's.
I have actually been thinking of getting a P380 in the near future as I like the last round slide hold back as well as the functioning slide stop and it's stainless steel components.

I purchased this pistol new about two months ago. After about five hundred rounds, I continue to experience the exact problems posted by iblong.
The weapons is cleaned before and after each session at the range and lightly lubed. I have tried at least four varieties of ammo with Federal fmj being the best. Ftf fte or a soft strike on the primer happens at least once a mag and usually 2-3 times. Very disappointed with this weapon. Not something I could find dependable to carry.
The failure-to-feed happens with a jam in the breach or a round fails to get picked up from the mag. Has anyone had the mag issue and if so, what did you do to tune it?
I purchased two extra mags and have the same problem.

Do you mean you have had light primer strikes throughout the 500 rounds, or they started after firing 500 rounds?

I bought a P380 several months ago. New, it had tons of lube in the striker channel. This should be cleaned out as it will quickly get gunked up and possibly limit travel of the striker.

I sent back my .380 Kahr at 150 rds. From day one the slide would lock back a couple of times out of six.
Sent it back they returned it in 3 weeks. have not been to the range yet to shoot.
Kahr replace both mags.,extractor, ejector, slide stop spring, striker block, cocking cam,
lubed and test fired.
My brother has the same pistol without any problems....Good Luck!!

The recent posts seem to be current problems. Do threads spoil after a year? As far as I know they still make the Kahr .380.

Having had 2 incidents with my PM40,I called and then had to send in my PM40.

I was AMAZED at the instant response and followup by their people.

I have NOTHING to complain about at all.

I was more than happy with the service,and it was a gun I had bought about 5 years ago.

Its working,and they want it back if I have ANY trouble with it.

Do threads spoil after a year? As far as I know they still make the Kahr .380.

And in the last year, the number of P380 problem threads has seemed to drop to near-zero....just as the number of PM9 threads these days is near zero.

I had an early PM9 with troubles about five years ago. Kahr fixed it, and those belonging to other people as well.

I still have mine...as a matter of fact, it is the only 9mm I own today.

I also have an LCP (which also had some teething problems)...Ruger has fixed those as well. The only way I would give up my LCP is to get a Kahr P380.

Got my .380 kahr back in 3 weeks. As I said before the slide kept staying open maybe 2 times per. clip each clip.
At 150 rds. they replaced the;
extractor, ejector, two new magazines, slide stop spring, striker block, cocking cam.

Had the slide stay open only 1 time this 120 rds.
Can't believe American Eagle Ammo would have created all these problems.

I guess some company's don't need forman anymore or classy engineers.
Maybe they need BABY SITTERS.

Any way they MADE GOOD !!!!!!!
