Y'think he needs to bring some cash? ;)

No, he needs lots of cash. Lots and lots of cash.

Ear protection, and lots of cash; alternatively, credit cards with a high limit, or a letter of credit from your bank.

Also, bring a camera, you'll want to show your friends.

Also, try to go on Sat., that's when they have the "night shoot".

I Am Driving Friday And Will Spend Time With Grandparents And Then On Saterday It Is On! All Day From 8:00 Am To 10:00 Pm. Then On Sunday The Long Drive Home. By The Way If Anyone Wants To Donate Any Cash So I Can Shoot More Contact Me.:)

nissantech I could tell from you first post you were excited, but you quit yelling in your second post. Thanks,

Please post pictures from the shoot, some of us can't travel that far, and like to see pictures of the event.

Isn't this the meeting of the 'Multi-Millionaire Shooter's Club'?

Maybe not so much after today.

To buy stuff (MG's) Yes think $20,000 on ANYTHING.

To buy other stuff (ancient web gear, tracer ammo, and I'll see if that M82 mount for 10 grand (rip-off I think) is still there) Yes it is like a gun-show so plan like that only well maybe add 10%, DPMS last year had a booth there but because they are pro "barrel break-in" I wont be contributing to them.

That was a rambling post.

Anyway bring a camera. extra batteries and memory cards/film, a sweatshirt/ter would be wise too.

If you plan on renting I may suggest plan on at least $100, I shot a F/A Glock last year and that was awesome.

And most importantly have fun! Enjoy.

Why are you typing all of your words with the first letter capitalized?
After spending 2 hours on ARFCOM I feel morally obligated to do that and and spellcheck. :)

Why are you typing all of your words with the first letter capitalized? Doesn't that take a lot longer than typing normally? It's really weirding me out :p

I'll be going up this weekend; it'll be the first time for me too. I'm pumped.
I get my paycheck on Friday afternoon... and I bet it'll be gone by Saturday night! Oh well.

--edit--

Gunner- that was directed to the OP. There's nothing wrong with capitalizing the first letter of the first word of the sentence. Capitalizing the first letter of EVERY word is weird.

I went a few years ago, midsummer. It was something like 110F. Probably cooler this time of year, though. I'd bring a camelback if I went again. I'd also bring plugs *and* muffs; ordinary range noise is one thing; when one of the Minigun guys opens up, plugs aren't enough for me.

Walking through the parking field I saw three pickup trucks - in the parking area, no place special - one with a ring turret .30 cal in the bed, two with collapsible turrets, one with a single .30 and one with twin .30s. (probably mockups or DEWATS, but darned cool all the same) Those Kentucky guys take "road rage" seriously...

Some tables were outside, some inside. The inside ones were dark. It might be reasonable to bring a flashlight. Facilities are... primitive.

When I was there it cost $50 to rent a flamethrower. Bring the $50; trust me, you WANT to rent the flamethrower...

how much money do u actually need to bring like 500 dollars of what?

That's a start. Depends on what all you'd like to shoot, and how often. Plus food and drinks, vendors, swap meet, gas, hotel and so on.

My grandson and I went to a shoot here in Colorado this spring and dumped $500, and we didn't shoot that much really. An M2 .50 BMG eats a LOT of money in a hurry, but a Minigun goes through cash like nitro through a dragster. It's a very cool experience nonetheless, just to watch if nothing else.

I've never been to Knob Creek, but the shoot we went to was much different from what I've heard. No vendors were allowed other than food and gun rentals, no gun sales allowed. All proceeds went to the local fire department. The range was wide open prairie for miles, and the firing line was 1000 yards long from one end to the other.

I gots to shoot a Tommygun!

MG's are very cool, but I figured out right away that I don't need one. Talk about an expensive hobby......
