good deal, hope your experience is better than mine.
I do also. One of the first things I did was get a few different magazines and try feeding rounds through the rifle. One thing I like about this gun is you can cycle the action with live rounds while the safety is on. (It was pointed in a safe direction, finger off trigger and all of the other applicable rules were followed, yada, yada, yada......)
I tried 10 rounds in the factory magazine and 30 in both PMags and GI issue magazines. (I almost wrote 'clips' to get a rise out of some people, LOL) I did not try any of the hi-capacity magazines I have because I did not feel like loading that many rounds and don't think I will ever put the 100 or 120 rounders under it.
Not a single malfunction in about 85+/- cycles with factory ammo. Note: This was on my couch, not on the range after firing actual rounds. Might have time to hit the range next week, did not have any this weekend. My hopes are it does not make any difference.
Question for those of you that have these. Have you had any issue with the trigger guard or mag. well? Just wondering if I need to order one of the Tromix aluminum guards/wells in anticipation of them cracking later. (Had issues with a Mossberg plastic trigger guard in the past. Hoping the material used today is a lot better in long term performance than that decades ago.)
What about that little lip that hinges down to pick up cartridges from the magazine? Is Mossberg still not selling replacement parts to us minions? Thinking that those item are the weak spots, plus an extra firing pin. Might plan ahead and put some extra parts away for later.
