Picked up a Trooper Mark III today. Just lucky, it came today. The big thing was when I walked in to get it there was a Remington Rand there on the counter they had just bought from an old gentleman. I walked out with it too. I have been wanted to replace the one I foolishly sold when I was about 22.

I bought my first semiauto pistol, a Kimber Stainless TLE/RL II, today, in celebration of the Heller decision. Shot it a little this morning, then cleaned it at home. Good stuff.

I certainly hope a great number of pistols get bought today. It would be very appropriate.

Hm... I'm getting an AR soon... in a month or two, maybe. But I like the idea of engraving the date on a weapon. I have a 7.62x39mm Saiga 16" (be jealous... seriously) that would be perfect for that.

Made final layaway payment on a gun that will be a gift to a first-time gun owner today! This is someone who deeply respects the 2nd (and is an NRA member) BUT has never owned their own firearm. Well, in honor of the Heller decision, let's just FIX that why don't we!!

(will still be a little while before they get it, a birthday is coming up in a month or so... but I want to tell them I bought it the day Heller was released)

What fun it will be surprising them!!

Kimber SIS

Tomorrow I am going to go get a Kimber SIS that I have had my eye on. There has been a lot of towel wringing by the liberal media about how that gun was "designed for law enforcement use and not suitable for civilians". I think it would be a good way to remember this date and stick it in the other sides face....

I told the wife my plans and she said it was her turn to buy a gun. Looks like we get her something tomorrow (Definitely not pink) and then I buy the Kimber. Sometimes its not so good when the wife shoots too.

I picked up a Weatherby Vanguard Sub MOA in .270 win today, there were some tikas, CZs and remingtons that were cheaper but it was on sale and just seemed to call out to me, and the bolt is sooo smooth compared to my savage. now I just need ammo, rings, base and some glass for it.
