I did my taxes today, supposed to have $1400 in my account in 10-15 days. Not a bad return for only making $9k last year. I'm so excited, I'm gonna go buy an M4A3 like I've been wanting FOREVER, and maybe another gun. I'd really like a Colt M4A3 but I don't feel like spending all the money on that. I think I'd rather get a Bushmaster M4A3 and another SIG or maybe a Cetme or something.

Anyone buying guns with their tax returns?

Sadly I think mine will go in the bank to be absorbed by living costs, though no doubt some of it will get spent on paintball. I may buy myself a knife.

I want one of these (usually I think of gun related stuff for the money, but not this year)

refund? who gets a refund?

anyone with a brain in thier head doesn't give FEDGOV extra money every month for the priveledge of a "refund" every April 15th...

I'm gonna add some more money to it and put it in an IRA. I may buy another gun, just not with THAT money. :)

About a tossup.....

I'll get $71 back from the feds and owe the state $89. But what the heck, I'm anxiously awaiting mfg's to offer .17 Mach2 handguns for me to choose from. Ruger will have a combo Single Six in 17HMR with an extra 17m2 cyl. Kimber has a 17m2 rimfire 1911.

3 things of my mind:
1 - Put it towards mods for my Trans Am
2 - Deposit on my Motorcycle
3- A huge nose candy party

I get mine this friday and i cant wait.Im getting a safe/cabinet and then if i can find a good cheap 22 pistol i will get that too. Then in a month i should get my state back but thats only like 300 bucks..I will buy a scope for my 30-06 unless i buy the scope now and wait to get the pistol..arhhhh so many choices :)

Not quite sure how much mine will be, but I'm hoping to buy my g/f a Glock 19. If there is any left over, I'll get a BladeTech for my SIG and save the rest.

How the frick is it that I might owe 300+ when I made less than $30,000 and claimed 0 on my W2's? Just an estimate as I do not have all of my W2's yet.

My new gas bill came last night.Up 2x from last year same month.

I had planned on a couple of cases of ammo...

Oh well,it's nice to stay warm. :scrutiny:

I'd like to put it towards another gun purchase, but I know ammo is running low as well... Decisions decisions... :D

My $799 should be here tomorrow. I'm planning on getting a Glock 26 with that money and saving the rest for a rainy day. Probably won't make the purchase till Uncle Sam pays me on the 15th of Feb. It always seems like everytime I start to make some financial headway, something unexpected comes up and bites me in the @$$. Like being out of town and getting pulled over for speeding, finding out my drivers license was suspended, having to get the car towed off the highway, staying in a hotel the night, taking a cab to the DMV to get my license reinstated, getting my car out of the impound, yeah, that weekend cost me enough for a Glock and a half. So I'm trying to save a little here and there before I go a-spending. Hope everyone's return buys them something cool.

Gonna put a 4" lift and 33x12.5x15 tires on my hunting vehicle. 95 Ford Bronco full size.

I purchased a gun with other funds this year.

I'll get $85 back this year, which is good. Why on Earth would I want to lend the gummint, with which I have so many disagreements, money interest free? That refund money that some folks crow over could have spent the preceeding year working for them rather than for the Republocrats.

Anyway, I'll just dump the $85 into my general fund.

I agree with not overpaying your taxes, yorick, but the way you said it is real, frickin' insulting. People can do what they want with their money. Why does it irk you to the point of calling people brainless if someone wants to do that? Grow up.

Hopefully, if my refund permits, the following, in priority order:

1) New carry gun and holster. Most likely will be a .45 ACP. Holster will be good leather, rather than this cheap Uncle Mike's crap I'm using for my .38 Spl. snubby. Looking at the Bersa Firestorm 45, but if I find a quality used 1911 with 3.5" or 4" barrel at a decent price, it will probably be the 1911. Looking to keep it under $500 though.

2) New cell phone. Not that mine's a piece of junk or anything; I just like the new styles and the camera-phone concept. Sony Ericsson makes a nice flip-style for about $180 (I use contract-less plans - i.e. AT&T GoPhone, Cingular TakeCharge).

3) Maybe a nice pair of side-zip boots for work.

We'll have to see what happens when my final 2 W-2 forms come in the mail.

This being my first year of home ownership I had no idea how to adjust my taxes so that I don't pay, either. As soon as I have my taxes done and can take a shot at what the difference is, I'll be adjusting mine to more or less break even next year. BTW you could put it a little more tactufully and take the high road with your argument, rather than saying that anyone getting a refund must not have a brain in thier head....
:scrutiny:

I'll get $85 back this year,
Now that's a perfect refund!
