Anyone else got a bogus tracking number from CMP with M1 Carbine order?

I just got an email from the CMP which said my M1 Carbine shipped, but the tracking number from Fed Ex says it is a package that was delivered in Nov 2006.

Did anyone else get a tracking number sent to them which did not match up with their shipment?

I can't believe that Fed Ex would ever reuse a tracking number...

I had the same thing happen, but it got straightened out as soon as the carbine was shipped. Somehow, Fedex reuses the tracking number and it is renewed when shipment takes place. :banghead:

You will get your carbine as scheduled . . .

The same thing happened to me for both my Carbine order and later my ammunition order. As soon as Fed-Ex actually took possession of the packages, everything was corrected.

Apparently Fed-Ex does re-use the shipping numbers for their packages.
