I was just thinking, right after I purchsed my Walther G22 (about 1 year ago) I started having some buyer's remorse. I remember for about a week after that I just couldn't justify spending $400 on a .22lr and that I should have gotten something else.

That quickly went away. Now it is BY FAR my favorite .22lr rifle. I just couldn't picture me with out it.

What remorse have you had after buying a gun? What gun was it?

The only remorse I had after buying any gun, and then again, periodically as time moves along, is that I don't have enough ammo for it!:D

Truthfully...it is my AR15

I cannot afford to shoot it so it sits there looking sad.

So unfair for the little guy.

almost everytime I buy a gun I feel a little remorse.

when I bought the cx4 storm I was disapointed with the reliability

when I bought the AK I was dissapointed with the accuracy

when I bought the PTR-91 I was dissapointed with the weight, and lack of bolt hold open.

no matter how much you research a gun, it always has its little kinks, and shortcomings that you never thought about, and wouldnt know without handeling it and shooting it a lot.

I still keep buying them though.

I was about to say "none!" -- but there is one exception, if you'll allow in pellet guns. Bought a chinese pellet gun at a gun show for about $50. A pain to cock, annoying to load, heavy as an SKS, and it arrived with some rust, has more now. Worst thing in the world? No -- If I were 15, and could have snuck it into the house, I'd probably be quite pleased with it, and give it the oil, sandpaper, rags and seal maintenance that it needs. Might have to find a local 15-year-old to whom to donate it.

I have never had that feeling after buying a gun, but after most of the ones I have sold left me with a empty feeling:cuss:

Only if it doesn't work right. I'm not an impulse buyer -- I plan gun purchases with the care that women plan weddings.

.

The worst part about buying is that moment when you are driving away from the deal. In that moment you suddenly start thinking about the gun that was number two on your list, that is now number one.
You now need to buy a new one, but have to wait till you have the money.

I'm with the other posters in re guns sold regrets.

Only regretted one purchase, a TEC-9. That gun was so bad that I literally threw it away. That was my most embarassing moment in a gunshop ever--holding that thing and asking the gunsmith if he could keep it from jamming...I'll never forget the sound of his laughter.

I'm much older now.

I have buyers remorse all the time or just about everytime I spend more than a couple hundred dollars on any one thing. New computer.... did I really need that expensive a model? New gun... did I really need another 22 rifle? Centerfire.... am I going to shoot it much when I have others already?

You get over it. :)

Ditto. I had the same remorse after buying my DPMS AR 15, just too expensive to shoot. I've since traded it for a Beretta 92FS that goes to the range with me everytime I go. :)

I once bought a gun in my favorite gun shop and found the same one a lot cheaper in a department store later. My wife had buyer's remorse for me until the shop gave me a couple magazines and a holster to make up for the difference. That's the only time.

My only buyers remorse was when I bought my smith & wesson SIGMA and was offered a $50.00 rebate and two additional magazines but did not notice the end date of the rebate and so missed out. :banghead:

I would have seen if the shop would make good on that. Maybe they would give you $50 worth of accessories (their cost $20-30) to keep a customer happy. Kind of late now.

Nor so much remorse, but disappointment. My keltec p3at is reliable and accurate (for what it is) but I just don’t like shooting it. Trigger guard is to small and always hits my finger, plus I can’t get a good grip without hitting the mag release while firing.

A few times, but this wears off after a couple of days, and it's definitely gone by the time I get to take my new gun out shooting.

I got hung up on "Glockmania" and went through 3 of them before I finally got my XD's. Don't misinterpet the post, they are fine guns but just not for me. I lucked out because they had a high appeal value I didn't loose very much money.

I had buyers remorse extreamly bad. I couldnt justify spending 700$ on the AR when the total bill was over 800$ and I had 2 ftf with under 100 rds. I have since fixed the jamming problems and realized I have one of the AR's that HATES wolf ammo. And when I ran good ammo, through a throughly cleaned gun it worked well.

sig mosquito biggest let down ever

I have always wanted a Sig Sauer and when the mosquito came out I figured this is something that I can afford and can plink with it and even take as a backup camping firearm. WRONG!The thing jammed continuously even with the recommended CCI ammunition. I took it back and traded it on a ruger mkII and never looked back.
