Does anyone else get buyer's remorse when they make gun related purchases?

I haven't actually bought all that many guns, and when I buy one I generally think through my options a lot first, so I've been pretty satisfied with the weapons I've bought over the years. I've had buyer's remorse from buying cheap junk optics from Walmart, though.

Seller's remorse---now that's a different story. About half the guns I've sold over the years, I wish I had kept (though it wouldn't have been financially feasible in some cases).

I've had remorse for not buying - in my case it was a 1895 Winchester (Browning) on the scratch and dent rack for a really sweet price. I wish I had bought it.

The only guns I regret buying are the ones that don't work right.

Only as mentioned if I have to sell one to buy one I want more

I am at that point in life that if I want it I get it.:D Only remorse is if I only get one of a reallly good deal and should have gotten a whole case or more. Think Christmas in July.:D

Buyer's remorse is just part of human nature, don't worry about it, it usually wears off pretty quickly. If I'm remorseful because I think I overpaid for a gun I tell myself "you didn't overpay, you just bought a little too soon".

Seller's remorse, been there. Couple of nice pistols I parted with decades ago I'd like to have back, but I really needed the money at the time.

Never had buyers remorse but I'm really cheesed off at myself for selling a gun I shouldn't have.

I have never regretted selling any of the guns I have, and there have been many. I have have buyers remorse however. Back when I was first married (11 years ago) I spent $675 on a Bushmaster AR. I really wanted it, but after I got it home I realized we could have made better use of the cash than the rifle. Years later, much better job, and wiser I try not to make those mistakes. You live and learn. Learn that they are just "things" and things aren't that important in the grand scheme. my .02

I briefly experienced buyer's remorse when shopping for an AR a few years ago and bought a mini-14 instead. I love the Ruger and eventually bought the AR a year later.

I used to back in the day when I bought on credit, but now I run on a cash only system so all I'm doing is trading worthless FRN’s for something of value. ;)

Yes, I also experience buyers remorse as well. What else could I have done with the money? Fix the deck? Stain for the house? more bee hives? Timing belt for the truck? My wife never gives me a hard time when I buy a gun. They're like Snap-on tools. Most firearms are US made anyway. Once I did a big job at the house that took most of my spare time. I saved Thousands $$$$$. So- I bought my first plastic gun as a reward. Thinking about it now, I should have gotten a Kimber... Anyhow. The remorse only lasts a few days after the purchase...

Sometimes because I didn't do a good need versus want decision. I really really do not need any more guns. Then I throw in a few more of my rationalizing rations and it goes away.

I once had a bit of buyer's remorse. I bought a brand new Beretta 391, and about a week later, I saw the same gun on clearance at Sports Authority. I could have saved about $125 had I known, but I'm still happy because I still only paid right about wholesale.

Often, usually its "I should have bought it!" or "I should have bought more!"

I still have buyer's remorse because I didn't buy a Colt in .38Super when I bought my S&W Model 19 - and that was 30+ years ago; I could have had that Colt for a little over $200 as I recall.
