a "Firestorm"? I'm pretty sure that was the brand on the slide of a very nice looking 1911 on a shelf at Switz City Guns yesterday. Front and rear serrations on the slide, nice matte finish, tight fit, good sights, good mag release, well finished inside...and $275.00. There's the rub. A name I never heard of at a price I wouldn't expect to get a Llama for.

What's the deal? Or does anyone know?

Here is a link to one for sale here . If you do a search at1911 forum you will find some comments from people on the quality of them. I believe they come from Llama.

Well, that answers my questions then. I've had probably two dozen Llamas over the years and they have been, with only one exception, excellent, though not the most accurate, guns. Considering the price I'd have to say they are generally pretty amazing.

I've looked at them real hard over the months but have not purchased one because of the number of bad posts I've read about them.

The 1911 Firestorms are made by a sister company or a division of Llama.

The other Firestorm pistols are made by a sister company or a division of Bersa.
The Bersa versions are the only ones I've handled or shot.
The ones I've seen and shot have been very good and one is on my "to get" list.
