With the cost of components it's almost not worth reloading 308 Win. The projectiles are so darn expensive. For precision target shooting i do not mind a box of Sierra or Noslers, but those add up.

I did snag some of the Midway blemed bullets which was good. All the sites I searched are out of stock for the Mil Surp pulled ones.

Any companies have them in stock?

The madness continues!

Rule, if you're reloading for a M1, you might think about avoiding M80 bullets unless you're just plinking. If you're after accuracy, you won't like them.

I hear they work well in 308 chambered rifles though.

Wanna know why you can't get any .308 pulls right now? There is a machine gun shoot being planned in December somewhere in Arizona and all the pullers save up their crap to sell it there. I've seen barrels and barrels of it that are "hands off" until after the machine gun show. Kinda rude if you ask me. I buy a whole lot more stuff than a few machinegunners would. I think they won't let me buy it at my prices because they can sell it for a premium to the gunners.

Well I might just spend the $20K (plus trust fees)and get me one of those Tommy Guns just so I can buy some bullets at $.35 cents each;)

I bought some blems or factory seconds from Powder Valley.

Thanks for the suggestion jwrowland77 I had lloked at PV website but not under specials.

The blems I just got from Midway (bought many of them in the past) look like new bullets to me. Some are a little discolored but not an issue for me.

I have bought some of the ones from Hi-Tech and wouldn't hesitate to buy more if I needed them. The price is still up a bit as far as I am concerned. But then I don't think will see them at $0.10 ea aging for a long while if ever.

Pulled 147 Gr FMJ prices are insane right now compared to a few months ago. They were one of the first things to dry up, and I have no doubt Jake is right about why they are still scarce when other things are becoming available. No way I will pay $115 for 500 147 Gr pulls. That is double what I paid for the last ones I bought, and those had already gone up a bit. I would buy the bullets from Wideners first. (The $150 or $170 for 1K isn't too awful bad these days) Fortunately I am in good shape on pulled 147s for a while. I bought 1K and haven't finished the first 500 yet. (300 BLK plinking ammo)

I've got 14 pounds of Western Cartridge Company 197-gr. HPBT match bullets, .3087" diameter. That's 500 of them (+/- a couple). These came from WCC60 .308 Win match ammo made for the US Army International Team for use in their 300 metre free rifles. Very accurate bullets, especially in commercial and military service barrels that were a bit on the big side for groove diameters.

Make me an offer that includes shipping in a USPS flat rate box to hold them as shipped to contenintal USA.

Does anyone still manufacture M2 spec 150 grain bullets for the Garand? Or are we restricted to pull downs?
