Anyone have pics of a SOCOM with scout scope?

I'm thinking about putting a scout scope (probably a Leupold FX-II Scout Rifle Scope 2.5x 28mm) on my SOCOM 16. A couple people have told me I'd be better off with an aimpoint and the 2.5X isn't worth it.

I'm trying to picture what the scope would look like on my SOCOM. Does anyone have any pictures?

If I want something between the iron sites, do you think the fixed mag scout scope is a good move? With my AK set aside as my SHTF rifle, my SOCOM is my fun gun - so I'm looking for some optics for shooting 50-200yds.

Thanks

It will look weird if you put it on the frontmost mount. But mounted over the bolt like a normal setup, it should look fine.

Personally, I think they look pretty cool stock with no optic, or with an ACOG.

Mini-14's, not exactly a socom, but close enough for you to get the idea.

Edit: Overlooked the word 'scout'.

Did they tell you why they think you'd be better off with an Aimpoint than a scope?

I say do what you want to do. It's not like it's an irreversible change. Not everyone gets the Scout concept.

You do realize the error in your paradigm, right? You don't forward-mount an IER scope for looks...

Of course you mount a scope for looks, silly. Unless you're the sort of person who glues the scope caps on.
