Ok... I know remington bought bushmaster...or should I say a holding group that owns remington and dpms and now bushmaster and, windham weapons is owned by the former owner of bushmaster and some employees of the former bushmaster group were unhappy with remington so when windham got back in business he hired them all back, so one would think windham Ar,s would be like the old bushmaster Ar,s...but I've heard there Better...They make fewer ...and attention to details are better is this really the case. Thanks

I have the R16A4T (HBAR) and very pleased with it. Tight upper/lower fit, correct M4 feed ramps, excellent finish with 4150 chrome lined barrel and bolt. I've only had time to zero and a little target practice but have had no issues, round count is 120. At zeroing range, it has been accurate even shooting cheap ammo. No experience with old or new Bushmasters but posters on other forums have stated it it comparable in quality to the "old" Bushmaster.

Dick Dyke, the owner had a no compete clause when he sold Bushmaster so once that was up, he was free and clear to set up again. He called back every employee and offered their old job back. They're back in the same building just with some different equipment. Have heard they are concentrating more on quality than quantity and that other models will come later on as well.
Better, worse...mil-spec is mil-spec and they just used forgings like most all the others do anyways, did with Bushmaster. It's how the castings are tooled that makes the difference. Hope he makes it work yet again. From what the holding group did to Marlin, I'd be leery about a Bushmaster now.

My understanding is that they are starting off producing same/similar weapons as they were before with some initial quality upgrades that Bushys didn't have. They are currently soliciting ideas for new weapons/variants and hope to fill some other niche needs. I'd love to buy from them but their prices at this point are too $$ for my budget...
