Specifically, the Squad Carbine and the MSG-91? I adore my standard PTR-91, quality is top notch. I believe the SC with a IOR 1.5-8x26 is in my immediate future. Both have welded on scope rails, fluted barrels and navy trigger groups.

I owned a PTR-91 for a few months, never shot it. Initially wanted a M1A, but settled for the cool looking PTR-91 because it was cheaper and "cool" looking....stupid reason. Anyway, the ergonomics were atrocious. Atrocious trigger pull, atrocious way to chamber a round, atrocious magazine release. Other than that, it's a cool looking rifle.

But my M1A is also a cool looking rifle in a classical sort of way and it's ergonomically friendly :)

Well, I'd rather this thread not get sidetracked. I'm asking about those two models in particular. As I mentioned I already have extensive experience with my standard PTR-91. It performs so well that I sold my top of the line LRB built M14SA. I can understand that many like the M14 clones. You are more than welcome to start a seperate thread praising them. Some of us have "been there, done that" and came to a different conclusion.

Very cool, sure wish I could afford one and the ammo to go along with it. Those definitely are a step above the Century ones, that's for sure.
