I have a 9000S Type F .40S&W that I picked up new for $350 about 6 months ago.
I fitted 2 of the pinky rest extenders (my gun didn't come with any) and they make a big difference to the way the gun sits in the hand.
The short slide serrations don't cause me any problems as the slide is very easy to rack, and my safety isn't in any way stiff.
Bad points - The DA trigger is looooong (although for a defensive pistol I actually prefer this), and the little sucker is very wide which doesn't make for good concealed carry (not an issue for me here in Maryland unless it's on my own property).
Good points - You get 10+1 rounds of .40 with no need for neutered mags (the 9mm mags are neutered as they would hold 13+1), apart from the width issue the gun is surprisingly compact, it's extremely well made - the slide is a work of art compared to other guns, it's absolutely reliable, and it just looks so durn cool.
I like mine a lot, it gives you enough power to be used as a backwoods carry gun in a fat little fist sized package, and they can be picked up for $330 from the right place.
