I've got a S&W 3913 and I'm looking for a paddle holster for it. I purchased the Fobus model SG21RP (roto-paddle) from Holsterland on-line. The gun does go in with a little force. Problem is, I can barely get it out using two hands. And this is with the holster in my hands, not attached to me and my pants. It's unusable.

Can any of you folks recommend a paddle type holster that will actually accomodate the 3913?

Thanks for any help.

There is a simple solution to the problem you are encountering...it is very common among users who haven't yet read the instructions :uhoh:

The solution to the problem is to put the holster on...don't ask me how i know ;)

The Fobus holster's retention is based on the angle of the draw, the natural pressure of the draw when you are wearing it will release the pistol.

I am a big fan of paddle holsters in general, but the Fobus Roto-holster has a tendency to sit pretty far away from the body for carry...it is fine for range work.

I usually use a Paddle holster from Blade-Tech or Comp-Tac for CCW or Competition. I also use a Blackhawk CQC Serpa and a Safariland ALS for teaching...I don't think they make one for discontinued guns like your Gen3 S&W...I keep an inexpensive Uncle Mike's Paddle as a loaner for students

You sir, are correct.

I didn't realize that there were instructions on the back of that one fold piece at the top of the package. Anyway, I did just try it while wearing it and it does work. But you do have to snap it out rather briskly.

I'm picking up a Witness Compact 9mm next week. I'll see if the Fobus happens to work for it also, then decide whether to keep it.

Thanks for your help.
