I took my 3913 to the range yesterday. After putting a couple of hundred rounds through it all I can say is: WOW, I love this gun.
As I mentioned in an earlier thread I traded a Glock 23 for my 3913. The 3913 is alot better shooter than the G23 ever was, atleast in my hands. At 10 yards I was making 2.5 in. groups. I also went through some double tap firing drills, drawing from the holster (with safety on), I was able to get better groups than with the Glock. I then tried some 50 foot shots, and again I shot better than I ever did with the Glock from that range.
The 3913 had no FTF or FTE's. It seems to be a very reliable weapon. I feel very comfortable in using it as my primary CCW weapon. I never felt comfortable carrying the G23 due to not being that accurate with it. The loss of rounds and lower caliber in the 3913 is made up for in accuracy and concealability.
I don't understand why the 3913 does not get any coverage in the gun magazines when talking about Concealed Carry Weapons. All they talk about are Glocks, Kahr, and KelTek. If not for a buddy who carries the 3913 I would have not even considered it. I don't think that S&W gets a fair shake in main stream gun media.
