Anyone using APPENDIX CARRY as occasional or primary carry?

I've carried AIWB since I started carrying a Glock 27 five years ago. I now carry a G29 sf and it conceals well. And I'm 5'5" 135 lbs. The thing I've realized about appendix carry is that you almost need a "slim build" to make it work comfortably. I like the "hump" on Glock backstraps. Makes them great pistols for appendix carry imo. I also dislike holsters with the extra bit of kydex or leather that sticks out and protects the slide. Makes it uncomfortable to me.

It's all about how you're built. If your belly button is 3 or 4 inches above your crotch it's not going to work. Or if you wear your pants 3 inches below your belly button. Or whatever combination limits the space you need to sit.

I tried it for two days and it will take 30 lbs. of dieting before my next try.

Your responses taught me a few things about appendix carry that I hadn’t considered… body parts at risk and the loose clothing factor upon re-holstering to name a couple.

Thank y’all for your insights…..Frankie

Oh yeah, thanks for the motivation to get on a diet too! :D

Your appendix is on your right side guys (unless youre some kind of off world alien or have a birth defect).

Of course, if you took the photo of yourself in a mirror, it can look reversed.

Some of my holsters can be worn strong side or cross draw. I don't find their design to work for
appendix carry. Wrong angle.
