But the accompanying holster! What The Heck?

Like a Serpa. Kydex with a retaining lever that must be pushed in to release gun ( best way I know to describe it).

BUUUUUUUT, this one included in the case - the paddle is for a RH holster (fine ) AND YET the release lever is located between paddle and the holster. It is as if the release is for a LH holster. Will try to upload image. No way to mount paddle on other side.

Anyone have any ideas? LGS also confused - said contact Canik.

You could get something else. The good thing about Canik is their designs are clones. So you can likely find a paddle, finger release holster that fits something else that will fit your Canik.

Yes, you sir are indeed crazy. I also was confused with mine at first, the "latch" is not a "latch" persay. It has an angle that lets the gun simply be pulled past it. You just unsnap the band and pull the gun out. The "latch" just adds some positive retention so the gun doesnt fall out if the band is unsnapped.

They are all like that. It's just retention that grabs the trigger guard. That holster is garbage/dangerous/uncomfortable

Buy a Safariland 578. I carry mine occasionally in it. Canik is the glock killer for me, I wish they'd release a compact model.
