The thread for best overall caliber has me scratching my head a little. I have started gathering parts to build an AR-10 with uppers in .243 and .308. I know DPMS sells uppers in .260, but I am really itching for one in 7mm-08.
Is there a reason these aren't more available, and how tough is it to build one? Is is any more difficult than re-barreling one of the other uppers, (or building one from scratch,) are there issues with gas tubes and springs and buffers, anything like that?
