AR - Dead Reliable?

AKs are not invincible. A well-made AK is a reliable weapon that can take a lot of abuse. It can also jam up just like any other gun if not taken care of.

^^^ Gotta remember to put the safety on before burying the AK. Rock sized particles seem to bugger up the trigger.

After watchin' those videos, I want to go burn some rounds. The weekend just isn't going to get here soon enough.

Gus I saw that same one but its so hard to draw conclusions from those tests. In this video the AR was subjected to much less dirt and it faired much more poorly. So did the AK but the point is it is very hard to extrapolate from those videos which one is going to do better when your test lot it only one of each. You could probably grab one AK and one AR at random from this board, fire 100 rounds through each without any dirt at all and one of them might malfunction. If it does it doesn't prove anything about the rest of the rifles on the forum. They are still fun to watch though and it did shot how the open are the safety covers does let a lot of crap in. The AR is much more enclosed in that aspect so I would think that test would be harder on the AK.
