That Marland AR sight has just about everything known about the AR on it. It is certainly one of the best websites of any kind that I have visited in my considerable time spent on the internet. I had never noticed that stock page though. That answered some questions I had also; Thanks for posting the link.

You definitely want the spacer for a bit more comfort when shooting. It really helps a lot. I got the DPMS spacer but Knight also makes one with a QD swivel mount. The only downfault of the Knights is that it's twice as much in price.

Also your AOL will be closer to 30" with a 16" barrel.

The truth is: I bought one of those stocks from a RRA rep at a show about 2 mons. ago. When I asked about legality he kinda hemmed and hawed. It sat upstairs in my spare bedroom till yesterday. I tried it on my BM carbine. My next step is to sell the stock, it's not for me. Thanks for all replies and links.

The short stocks are post-ban legal as long as the OAL of your rifle is long enough. Furthermore, the stock is only considered "collapsable" or "adjustable" or "foldable" if that can be done without tools. This is why match shooters can put those adjustable butt-plates on their rifles.. so can you. If you want more information, call Fulton Armory and ask about their "Guardian Buttstock" which is short, and adjustable.
