So I went ahead and ordered a complete lower this weekend from PSA, and now I'm beginning the hunt for the other half. I am pretty much going one of two directions with this rifle:

A. 5.56 mid length, flat top or irons doesnt so much matter but its getting a 3-4x optic of some kind eventually. I want to hit coke cans at a couple hundred yards.

B. .300BLK, 16" barrel to start. Eventually want to run supressed with a shorter barrel using some kind of RDS or holo sight.

Basically I want to start on one of these two rifles and so for now I'm trying to determine which is the best deal in the current market on a complete upper.

Thoughts?

Delta team tactical is having a sale. Smoking good deals. Ive done business with them for some time. Good quality all around.

I would say stick with PSA. Premium uppers with FN Chome lined barrels are 299ish when in stock. I have a Freedom middy upper from them that was only 289 for the upper and bcg and it is solid. If your going for budget I have read decent things about Wise Arms and 22modsforall as well, but no first hand experience from them. I have heard mixed things about Delta Team Tactical on " the other site"

Personally I went the 556 route due to cheaper ammo. So I'd say if you already don't have an AR in 223/556 then start there. Add the Blackout next unless shooting suppressed is more important to you.

If you don't reload the Blackout is just going to cost much more to shoot. If you do reload the 556 will let you shoot cheaper ammo that you can then cut down to resize to Blackout. I'd probably do this at some point once I decide what caliber I'm going to add next!
