Im looking to buy an AR15. Does anyone know a good place to get them for a grood price without sacrificing safety and quality? Thanks for any help.

This one has been beat to death. Spike's is a pretty hot brand right now. Very close to true milspec and can be had for around $800. Other than that, many like Bravo Company, although I haven't priced their complete rifles. Also, if you can find a good deal (as in under the price of the Spike's) on a Rock River or Bushmaster, have at it. They're good to.

CMMG bargain bins have a good reputation, but the absolute best bang for your buck is the Spikes Tactical ST-15 LE. The upper receiver group is built to exact military specifications, so really it's just as good as a Colt LE6920. The only reason I can think of getting a Colt over the Spikes is that the Colt has a cold hammer-forged barrel, but there isn't a whole lot of evidence of the quality of a hammer forged barrel over a button-rifled barrel especially when they're both built with the exact same material composition.

I would take an Armalite over those two brands, but the spikes cost's a little bit less than the armalite when you factor in the carry-handle.

I hate to sound like a broken record. I hate to sound like a broken record. I hate to sound like a... Oh wait sorry. Anyway.

BCM. Spikes is ok but have left some questions unanswered. BCM is about as good as you can get for the money. You can get an upper from them for a bit over 500 and then the lower of your choice.

Spikes is a great rifle! One way to get it cheaper is to buy the upper and the lower separate. I did and saved $100. I would also look at S&W M&P 15s. CDNN has them for 699.00 and there was a $100 rebate for a whiles making them $599.

I would also look at Delton. They have kits for $465: you just add a stripped lower receiver and your good to go. You have to put the lower together though. Also with the Delton you can add accessories like stock ect cheaper.

BCM is good stuff if you want to pay more than Spikes.

I don't know what questions are left unanswered, but Spike's did publish the specs on the parts that they use. I haven't bought a complete anything from either, but have used many parts from both and they were quality parts. I think that Spike's has prices that are a bit lower because of a smaller overhead. In any case, if you're interested in Spike's the above suggestion was a good one. Buy the complete upper and complete lower separately. For either or both, take a look at Aimsurplus.com They stock Spike's stuff. If you order from Spike's you might have to wait to get it. I know, it's odd, but it's the way it is.

I'm really not trying to be a Spike's fanboy, it's just that I really have no compelling reason to steer you away at the prices that they are offering. I'm running two of their lowers right now on rifles that have a few other parts from Spike's on them. I really like the Spider on the side with the red fill.

I have heard a number of people say that. But I have yet to see the actual documents that prove he has each barrel tested per the TDP.

Don't get me wrong. I dont' dislike spikes at all, although I do have a big problem with all the Spikes trolls that keep popping up on M4C.

I love their lowers and next to Noveske they have my favorite Roll Mark. I would not turn down a Spikes rifle. However I also would not choose one over a DD, BCM, etc.

what abilities are you looking for out of this rifle?

extreme accuracy? reliability?

what will you do with it?

How did I know everyone would say BCM and Spikes........ They are great rifles and deals....for now....They are both new companys so if this is what you want, get one before they start cutting corners like every other company in America. Not bashing either company but it will probably happen. I would get BCM but don't like dealing with FFL transfers, shipping, and all that crap. My local dealer handles quite a few brands but out of all of them I went with Bushmaster and RRA. I am satisfied with both and they work just fine for me.

Hey, you could buy one from me....

It's a Vltor/Spike's/BCM/CLE/Bushmaster rifle, with complimentary Geissele and Nightforce.
