Hi all, just put a Magpul MOE kit on my Ar15 and noticed something strange. After installing it the safety selector seems a little "loose or mushy"? Any ideas what this may be?

BTW the kit looks awesome on my gun (Dark Earth). Feels great also.

Did not loose the spring (Trust me - that F!@#ing spring was in there / after searched for it and found after 10min. LOL)

Don't think the spring was messed up.

Take the pistol grip off and start over again.

Something is wrong with the spring & plunger.

(The plunger goes in pointy end first.)
Sounds to me like it is in flat end first.

Ain't nothing else it can be.

Does the kit come with an accu-wedge?
Did you double check to make sure the detent pin is facing the right way?

Sometimes the holes manufacturers make for the selector spring.... err, vary a scoosh from the standard.
You're going to wind up taking off the MOE grip to troubleshoot this, so while it's off put the old one back on and see if the 'normal' feel returns.
Spring installed; detent pointy side up?

One cure may be to put a bit of 'filler' at the bottom of the MOE grip's spring hole, a bit of wood, ball bearing, another safety detent? (Or just return the thing and ask for another, I don't think MagPul would object.)

Just removed it - the spring got a little bent. That spring has been a pain in the rear end!!!!!!!!!
