You can see that Quatari Gov't has attempted to shut down Al Jazeera on a number of occasions. While we see it as a propagandea machine, the governments of the middle east see it as an independent news agency frightfully beyond their control, subverting their TRULY state-run new agencies.

There's even a documentary involving AJ, called 'Control Room', iirc, gives an inside view of the station. Like, for instance, while the director discredits American foreign policy, he admits his dream would be for his son to grow up there...

---And for securing the border, that's going to happen right after the Arizona governor tells all the border partol agents to get back to work??? Yea, a president who does nothing, a governor who tells his agents NOT to secure the border, the 'looming threat of terrorist attack', and the admission that the country will fall under martial law when the next attack happens. What does this add up to?

Joe, you nailed it on Allthatjazz television. :D

Reminds me of P.J. O'Rourke writing about being held at AK-47-point listening to Arab yutes yell and scream about the Great Satan and in the next breath say that they will soon be moving the the U.S. to attend dental school in Detroit.

The 13 year old boy, the 21 year old woman. :D

Al-Jezeera might not be as "free" as CNN (so to speak), but it is a darn sight more independent than anything else in that region.

I even have a title for the news piece: El Queda! :uhoh:

They had a segment on the local news about this story and in the end Al-Jaz decided not to show.

They are probably on the South side of the border instead.
