I only hear GREAT things about CZ

What is the warranty?

Difference between Rami and Rami P?

Is Rami their smallest?

CZ's aren't amazing. They're just extremely reliable semiautos that sell at a price much lower than most other premium brands. Their strengths are reasonable cost, high reliability, and excellent ergonomics. But they also have their faults -- a long trigger reach in DA mode and a rough trigger are the most common ones.

I have an SP01. It has a horrible trigger, but it's the most accurate handgun I own and I enjoy shooting it very much.

I have a standard blued ( it's a polished black actually ) 75B

I am impressed at the finish, fit, reliability ( 800 rds after 3 months -
cleaned it for the first time at 670 ) no FTF/FTE to date
simple to field strip, clean and re-assemble. I llike the same thumb safety action/manual of arms as a 1911 but manually dropping the
trigger for DA first shot carry mode is nice. And 9MMx19 is
a lot cheaper than feeding my 1911 .45 ACP rounds. so I take them both and cut back on .45 ACP for economy. Oh, and it's stupid accurate, just needs imho a little trigger work from Chrost and ANgus.

Great buy at $500 after S&H and transkfer

As well as the Kadet.22 LR Conv. Kit.
availbility - it'll be a great package to pass
on to a nephew or?

I really like my SP-01. Only 100rds so far. But the quality, accuracy, and reliability for the price of a CZ is hard to beat.

The Rami is there smallest gun, intended for carry.

Rami is alloy frame where the Rami P is polymer.

I just hear A LOT of great things, the range i go to doesnt have any to rent but they got a lot of positive things said

RAMI is the smallest?

They are great guns!!... All the talk is just 'talk' and all the words are just 'words'...

Get a hold on a CZ 75B, or SP-01 or P-01... Look at it carefully, feel it in your hand... and then shoot it!...

Then, you'll know!
.

If you're interested in a CZ for CCW consider the
PCR or P01 COmpacts in 9mm luger. Great feedback
on their accuracy, and the Rami .40 S&W chambered
gun has had some issues.

I don't know your experience, the the PCR and P01 both
have the Decocker but different sights seems the P01
was a NATO spec. gun, and the PCR was for the Czech Rep.
Police = it has a loaded chamber indicator and the newer style
three dot sights. Compact but still a 3.9 inch Bbl. for cartridge
load performance

I am very pleased with my PCR, but not to the point of amazement. ;) It is just a light, compact (but still holding 14+1 rounds), accurate, reliable and good-looking pistol. It could use a better single-action trigger, but the double-action pull is short and smooth.

I had the pleasure of meeting up with and sharing a lane at my local range with THR member Chaim a little over a week ago, and he brought along his CZ-75B. I had never seen a CZ in person, let alone fired one until then - he let me put a few mags through his, and I knew at that point I'd be getting one.

The example he owns, by his admission, has over 10k rounds though it, and the only discernible issues I could find with the gun was that the grips were slightly loose.

So, long story short - I'm no CZ expert, but they seem pretty well worth it to me.

I think so. The RAMI is alloy frame and the RAMI P is a poly frame, BTW, and the new RAMI BD is an alloy decocker. It looks wide, but actually holds/handles quite well.
I bet my life on a CZ P01 with Crimson Trace Lasergrips, as well.
We kinda like CZ made firearms...

I have an CZ SP01 Shadow with a competition trigger job done by the CZ Custom Shop. It is definitely an exceptional gun. I would put it against quite a few much more expensive guns. I have multilpe Glock, Sigs, S&Ws, and an FN 5.7. It is my current favorite. Stick with the steel frame RAMI over the polymer unless weight is major issue. Buy the gun directly from the CZ Custom Shop/Ghost Products. They have good prices and you can have them work on the trigger before you get the gun to save time and freight. Here is the link to the Custom Shop:

If you really want to learn about CZs try shooting one.

All of mine are very accurate and 100 percent reliable.

I own both the SP-01 and the RANI-P and like most CZ owners am very happy with both.

As already mentioned the main issue with the range TENDS to be the trigger. If you like shooting, it's less of a problem.....just pump a couple of hundred rounds through, it smooths out nicely....

Of the two RAMI's the P felt slightly thinner as it is a flat side, non changeable pistol grips.

When I shot both, I felt the P absorbed recoil slightly better.

If you get the RAMI for CCW holsters are rarer that say for Glocks etc however they are available. For example the Fobus SG-5 holster will fit both the RAMI and the SP-01.

Purpose built are available from High Noon Holsters http://highnoonholsters.com/index.html

But really, if possible, you have to pick them up and handle them to be sure they are right for you.

I own various makes and models of CZs.
Military: CZ24, CZ 52, CZ 82

Commercial: CZ 75BD, CZ 527 Carbine.

The military versions are ok, with the 82 being the most advanced.

The 75BD I have is amazingly accurate. The DA trigger isn't all that great, but the SA trigger is. The 527 Carbine has to be my favorite bolt action. It's chambered in 7.62X39 and it REALLY wrings the accuracy out of that cartridge.

I've never heard a legitimate complaint about them - and I cannot say that about any other gun maker!

I also own several CZ handguns and they are all excellent. Zero complaints.

Stay away from CZ guns! They are horribly addictive, and by getting one you have doomed yourself to buy many more in the future!

No, seriously, the triggers can be rough and the front sights have a tendency to fall off on the older models, but other than that the CZs are solid, well made and well engeneered gun. Get a b model on which the front sight will not come loose and spend a little extra money on a trigger job, then you will own one of the most solid firearms on the planet. Some people also likes to have the standard 13 lb mainspring replaced by a 15 lb spring, but the reason behind that eludes me.

I'll agree with others that the trigger can be rough initially. I've learned how to GENTLY buff mine and get a nice action as a result.

I wish the area to grip for racking the slide was a touch larger

But other than that I really love mine and it shoots pretty darn nicely!

yes, they are!!!!
love my CZ75 Compact
about the only thing you need to do is put about 1000 rounds through it to slick up the trigger

The CZ line offers something for everybody. They are a good value for the money. I own a plethora of more expensive guns from HK, Sig, Beretta, Browning, etc and choose to carry a 75D "PCR" most of the time. The triggers on both my 75D and 75B were excellent out of the box. Guess I go lucky. If you get a gritty trigger it can be easily remedied.

As a rule I have replace the recoil and mag springs on my CZ's from the get go as they can come a little undersprung from the factory.

i am so impressed with the RAMI-P i just purchased, i am buying a PCR in the next couple weeks

All I can say is that I paid $459 + taxes for my CZ-97B. It is every bit as accurate as the Big Name custom 1911 that cost me over 3X the money and half a year of waiting to get.

The standard mainspring is 20 lbs. Ghost Products doing a spring swap, and trigger job, includes dropping the main spring to 13 lbs, but a
15 lbs main spring is included with the trigger job in case light primer
i.e. duds crop up as a problem, put the 15 lber in there and the light
strikes will stop - the reason for going to a lighter main spring in the first
place is to make a lighter trigger pull for DA or SA. Ghost Products also
offers a different hammer, which mechanically will make the SA trigger
pull a shorter action, and when honed for the individual gun crisper.

I hope that helps.
