Just wondering if the pearce grip extenders etc are the best option for my g26? Are there any better out there that you all would recommend? Are they easy to install? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!!
The Glock 26 is the best of both worlds. I may very well decide to carry the 26 with just a GAP baseplate...but then some days I may decide I want a few extra rounds and an extended grip...as so on so forth...THAT'S WHY I WANT PEARCE GRIPS.......because the G26 gives me that option!!!!
My experience has been favorable with the Pearce finger extensions, and I have found the smooth ones tend to be more comfortable after a long shooting session. While the checkered ones are perfectly fine, they tend to irritate my finger after shooting for an extended time so I prefer the smooth ones. They are well made and I have never seen a fit or function issue by anyone who has used them. Hardest part about installation is getting the factory floorplates off, but once that's done, the rest is smooth sailing.
If you do decide to go with them look up how to remove them correctly. The key is you have to depress the wide side of the mag to let the lugs slip out.
I like them as much for the extra purchase area as for the extra rounds. The standard 26 grip is a tad small for me. Because of the angle of the bottom of Glock grip, I don't think the extensions detract much from concealability.
