Are stores starting to catch up in supply?

This could just be one rare example, but today I walked into my local gun store to buy a quad rail for my new AR and found their magazine rack fully stocked with 30 round PMags ready to go (reasonably priced as well), as well as a good quantity of .223 and 9mm ammunition.

Perhaps I just got lucky today, but I recall hearing that everywhere was at least a year behind in supply.

Anybody find anything similar?

Just got back from another local store, and they had *plenty* of powder on hand. Picked up some 700x. No primers though.

Last week.. LGS had PMags for $23 for the G2 black non-window version and $33 for the dark green G2 windowed version. Limit 1/customer/day. They were in stock for at least five days.

People around here are still waiting in line two hours before the store opens to buy mags, AR's and ammo. Only on certain days though, they've figured out when delivery day is.It's crazy.

Not here either though one shop got in AR's,AK's,some 5.7's and 5.56 ammo but its all gone now. The stuff is going out the door before the packing material finds its way to the trash. My conclusion is the demand has yet to be met.

LGS today had a bunch of 30 rnd Pmags for $18.99 each with a limit of 3. But they had no .223 or 9mm ammunition. They got in 2 AR's today too, but both sold in the 1st 10 minutes I was there. The local Walmart just got .223 100 round Federal packs back in stock and they even had an AR for a few minutes the other day. Both Walmart and the local shops are sold out of 22lr. Seems like it's easing up a little around here, but not much. Hopefully it will be back to normal soon.

You must've gotten lucky. I was in Walmart in my area (DFW) this morning and the only handgun ammo left on the shelf was the .22lr rat shot stuff. Cabelas was much the same story when I stopped there on the way home. All they had is some expensive +P self defense rounds.

I was at SOG in SE Houston. They got plenty of unmarked AR USGI mags for $10 a piece. A few high priced SOG ARs on the wall.

Carters Country have plenty of handguns, shotguns and bolt action rifles. Ammo were available but prices are high.

Here in Louisville KY, I've been to one particular shop twice in two weeks, that's had decent selection of rifle and pistol ammo, and a wall full of higher end ($1500 +) AR-15's. I saw every major caliber except 5.56, and prices weren't unreasonable as well. They also had a few boxes of polymer 30-rd. AR-15 magazines for just over $20. Granted, this was just shortly after noon on a Friday after noon. I doubt by noon on Saturday that many of these items would be left...

picked up the last 1k boxes of SR (Win) and SP (Rem) primer at the Bass Pro shop north of Bham this a.m. They had some LR primers left, but 2k of primers was the limit. No 22LR. No powders at all.

Last week I was able to buy 6K mix of SR, LR, and SP primers at Simmons Sporting Goods in Bessemer. They also had a lot of powders, but nothing that I needed. They also had a bunch of primers left though he limited me to 2K SP primers (but no limit on the other primers).

The large backorders are a mirage. People who are looking for Pmags are getting on the backorder list for a dozen different websites. The person will buy them from whichever company gets them in stock first and cancel all the other orders.

I have seen some remorse selling on armslist locally. Like I bought this AR for $2000 a few weeks ago but just need the cash so I will take $1,600. Still not great but hopefully prices have peaked.

Yes, things are starting to trickle back to the market. AR parts are still getting snatched up quickly and back out of stock within minutes. but parts are showing up. How many of those will end up trying to flipped on GB and other sites will be a mystery.

I scored a Fail Zero BCG day before yesterday at msrp so I was happy to be in the right spot at the right time.
