Are there any gun sites for southpaws?

You could always check out the Stag Arms site and look at their LH ARs.

I'm a leftie too, (handed, not politics),and it's frustrating as a shooter just like in most other aspects of LH life. LH guns cost more. Most places don't stock them. Hot brass in the face. Bolt guns are a PITA to shoot... The list goes on.

We should start a lefties only shooting site. It'd be just lithe the righties sites, but much better!

I just shoot right-handed. Sucks on rifles sometimes, because I'm still left-eye dominant and if I'm wearing big hearing protectors and my regular glasses it's a pain in the butt to look down the sights. :scrutiny:

It is generally accepted that eye dominance is more important that limb dominance when it comes to shooting.

Fella's;

Sites, I 'd hope. I would very much like to support a site dedicated to the left shoulder crowd.

No, there's no need considering how welcomeing and helpful everyone is here.

kewl, lefty also, right eye dominant. I can only shoot a rifle right handed, but can only shoot a handgun left handed. I never thought about getting a left handed handgun.

Yup, sometimes I miss the obvious.:banghead:

Are there complete lefty handguns? I never even looked into it because I just didn't think there would be. I would love to get a complete lefty P220.

Fellow lefties, don't you just love waiting 6 weeks plus for a holster?

Ruger semi automatics are pretty good guns for lefties. I can use ALL of the controls with just my left hand. The slide lock is long enough to easily push it down with your left index finger.

My P220 isn't very lefty friendly. The hammer fall can be used with the left index finger but the slide lock cannot be. I have to hold the gun in my right hand and hit the release with my right thumb to be able to put enough pressure to release the slide without pulling it back. I can lock the slide back manually using my left index finger to hold the slide lock up but it's tres uncomfortable and awkward.

I had the mag release switched so that is a non issue.

I have a couple of glocks and they are great for lefties, at least for me. You can work the mag release with your middle finger (you might have to file it down a bit), I have no problems with operations. It's the most lefty friendly centerfire pistol I've found yet. D/A Revolvers are fine for lefties too. Browning HP's with ambi safety work great too. I think that some Heckler & Koch pistols come with controls set up for lefties if you order them that way. Someone else may chime in as I don't shoot them. Lefty UNFRIENDLY pistols include some .22 semi autos such as the Ruger and the Browning.

Holsters- try CompTac, you won't wait six weeks, just a few days.

Shotguns- Browning BPS (and other bottom loaders without crossbolt safeties) and Mossbergs are ambidextrous, as are doubles of course. I love my Mossberg. I have a left handed Remington 870 but I like the standard Mossberg better.

Also lever guns that predate the dreaded cross bolt safety are easy to use if you are left handed.

Lots of options.
