My average # of mags is pretty low, but I do have 10 mags for my SV limited gun, together worth about $950...
i'll just list the more outragous ones:
20 FAL mags for a rifle i haven't built
20 ak-47 mags still in the wrappers for a sar-1 still covered with cosmoline
10 ak-74 mags for a sar-2 in the same condition

35 30rd ar mags (20 thermold, 15 GI)---hey there was the Y2K thing
25 sig 220 mags---hey they only hold 8 rounds each
18 beretta 96 10rd mags---hey they can be used in the 92 too
15 sig 226 pre-ban mags for i gun i can no longer shoot (cracked frame)---hey i can use them in my 228

I have many, many magazines (two dozen for 1911, ten for Star PD, five for M92FS) and I don't use any of them. I tested each one once, I know they all work.

When the dark time sunsetted I went on a mag buying binge, of sorts.
I bought a couple of 13 round G21 mags for my G30 and a 17 round G17 mag for my G26. I also scored a couple 15 rounders for my Sigma!!!

At one time, I had about 25 mags for my Hi Powers (2 of them). I have reduced that slightly -- now I have 16...
But don't misinterpret -- I got rid of a few 17-rounders so that I could get more 13 rounders.

for some reason whore just doesnt sit right with me in reference to buying lots of mags. now pimp or john those sound a bit better.
how many for the AR and AK 12 volt? if your not going to use those steyr mags I know how to properly dispose of the horrible magazines for a proper fee of coarse
not enough damn magazines for AR15 they are sold clear into 2005 well the nicely priced ones for $10-$15. greedy bums can sit on them for $20+

Crikey, I thought I was good to go (but not quite a street-walker). Yet I still pale in comparison.
Kimber: 5 Wilson Shooting Star Mags, 1 Factory Mag (though it's only used for plinking, no competition or carry.)
HK USPC .45: 3 mags (but I've only had it for a week).
M-4gery: 4 20 rounders, 1 30 rounder.
BUT, I did once buy 4 Glock 19 preban mags before purchasing the pistol. Can I still be a pistolero magazine prostitute?

I used to be though.
I had mags I didn't even know what they went to , along with mags for guns I didn't even own. Speedloaders too...choke tubes...you get the idea.
Well I like simple,I like redundancy, and I have stayed with the same platforms for too many years. Knowing me - I won't change...
So...for a bit now I have been getting rid of stuff and giving away to folks that I know that can and will use them. I gave away about a dozen Ruger MKII mags and 10/22 mags for instance. I haven't owned a Mini 14 since I don't know when, 10 mags went to that person. Why I had almost 2 dozen mags for a Tokarov- *shrug* don't ask me. I think mags for Marlin 22's breed, I sent a box of these and six cleaning kits to a place out out of state for kids to use.
I sent some hunting / shooting stuff to someone, dummy me, left 2 USGI 7 rd mags in a pocket, and two K frame speedloaders in a another jacket pocket...hadn't worn that coat in 20 years...oh well I could use those mags, should have checked the pockets. sigh...
I have been getting rid of stuff, keeping only what need and can use. Sheesh I found stuff I won 20 yrs ago, like cleaning kits, I used to have cleaning kits and supplies just "appear" , prize tables and gifts. I forgot these were in storage...best I can figure I have given away about 40 "kits" in the past year.
Holsters is another thing I rid myself of. Ironic - I don't have a holster for some guns I do own , so I either don't or can't CCW these guns , some holsters wore out , some "fell" out of the truck ( don't ask) or something. Try as you might a 1911 will NOT fit into Ruger Security Six holster...give the Ruger holster away and just carry my 1911 tucked in my waistband. Someday Galco will hear from me...

I probably raised some eyebrows with the various mailings I sent to folks coast to coast and North to South borders though.

does 2 rubbermaid totes full count ( 1 for pistol and 1 for rifle )? the lightest mag gun is 4 mags and the heavist is 25 with 5 more on order from tapco. I expect them in a month and a half. most handguns are around 6 with 3 that are over 10 mags per gun.

I have 20 Wilson 8 shot 1911 magazines and only use them in two of my 1911s.
Heck I have 5 magazines for my .32 acp Alkartasuna Ruby pistol!
