Just be glad that you can carry to work. Some of us work in "gun free" zones where only police (where ever they are) and criminals are allowed to carry.

Ooo, ooo! Me ! Me!

I've run a whole day's worth of errands without a mag for my .380. (I usually keep one in the gun and one in a pocket.)

And a .380 isn't even a decent club.

Wellll,

Since we are admitting screw ups, here is a good one. Up until about a month ago my son and I carry the exact same gun, a M&P9C, we had to go to a free victum zone and placed our firearms in the gunsafe in the truck. Well he carries empty pipe, I carry loaded for bear. When we returned to the real world I retreived (no that's wrong, he gave me my firearm back) re holstered and went on about my business. This was Tuesday. On Saturday we had to go meet a very nice person about a selling him a gun, my sone always rides backup in case of trouble. We pull up and since he carries empty chamber he racked his slide and chambered a round (saw it then but didn't click, I was on red alert. a round hit the floor of the truck (not supposed to do that if you don't have one in the pipe.)). Anyway I got out did my business, smooth transaction and all. Got home and since it was Saturday (my gun cleaning day) I pulled mine out dropped the mag. and racked the slide and NOTHING, no bullet. I thought "crap, what is going on here" got to looking and my son had given me his firearm instead of mine. I would have been screwed if I needed it. After this I always checked my SN before reholstering. Now I carry the M&P40C so all I have to do is look at the slide.

Did you flinch?

Were the dogs mad at you?

I keep my 357 in plain view on the seat, per the law. When I go in places to interview people (journalist), I'll lock it in the glovebox.

Yesterday, I was headed home and got into the parking lot only to realize I'd left it in there all day long. Bummer.

When I go fishing, I often clip my keltec in its holster onto the side of my waders, under my armpit.
I was flyfishing along a river and had to eradicate some liquid from my body. So I uncliped my waders and pulled them down. While I'm writing my name, unit in hand, I hear a faint clump. I look down and realize my Kel-Tec has gone ass-first into the mud between some rocks. :fire:

Yes, I'm packin' heat in this pic

And this one

May (insert chosen diety here) bless Kel-Tec!

I got all the way out to my car with an empty holster once.

What's more bothersome is the number of times I racked a slide expecting a round to drop into my palm, and got nothing.

Fortunately I've never stepped out with an empty magazine, too. Threads like this remind me to triple-check everything.
