Are you excited for the Glock 43?

I might pick one up down the road if the price is right.
The bar has been set pretty high for single stack 9s though.
I don't see my Shield getting replaced....

Glock has never really rocked my world, but I do want to shoot one of these 43's when they come out.

I just want to see if it offers anything over my Shield.

I love my Glock 19 and use it in a lot of training and I think Glock makes excellent products, HOWEVER..

I'm set on my Sig Sauer P938 as my EDC pocket carry. :)

if it has come out 7 years ago, sure. but they are so late to the party it will be hard to be noticed.

Beyond that, the problem with your slogan and mindset being "glock perfection" is that you either can't or won't innovate. and so, they really haven't done anything different in 30 years, and when they do make a minor cosmetic change, it is reactionarty. finger grooves! a late to the party rail! late to the party backstraps! late to the party tiny 380! late to the party tiny 9mm!

nothing inspires more yawns in me than glock news or 1911 news. (though company x releasing a new AR with a different handguard or barrel twist is rapidly closing the gap)

Excited? No.

I am happy for those GlockFans that are, however.

For ~8 years I have been carrying a single-stack 9mm that is lighter, smaller, dependable, accurate and sports a 7rd mag rather than a 6 ... and for the price of a G43, I could buy 2 more of what I already have ... New York Reloads. ;)

Nope. Not that is a bad offering, because it looks like a good call on Glock's part. But excited? Naw, not even kind of.

Anyone who gets excited about a Glock handgun really needs to get a life.

Mixed responses, it looks like most people could care less, but others are excited. Personally I wish it came out years ago. I'm sure it won't be any better per se than the other popular choices, I just want one. I like Glocks. I like others too, but Glocks are my preference.

I, for one, am looking forward to picking one up as soon as I get the chance. Simply stated, glocks are, in my hands, the most natural pointing handguns I have ever shot. I shoot others more accurately, but for a combo of speed and accuracy they work the best for me.

I like other guns much more than glocks, but I carry glocks more than others.

Glock as of late really reminds me of Apple. They pretty much invented a whole new market of polymer framed striker fired pistols and dominated it for many years. Glock pretty much just coasted after striking it rich, and said "our product is perfect, so we don't need to change it, " the same way apple stuck with the original iPhone form factor with a 3.5" display that many people thought was too small. Meanwhile, other gun makers jumped on board the polymer/striker bandwagon and created small CC handguns with features like interchangeable back straps (because unbeknown to Glock, not everyone has the same size hands). Now here we are with Glock creating "new, innovative" handguns for an already saturated market that they SHOULD have invented in the first place.
