I, as having practiced in psychology, am truly amazed at the kinship found within these treads. If this thread is allowed, I'd like to get to know how similar we might be. I propose three sentences to introduce yourself. 1. Favorite BP weapon. 2. Favorite hobbie. 3. Favorite food. Me first: Any of my cannons, woodworking, steak.

1. My .54 T/C Hawken (it's the only BP arm I own.)

2.) Tie -- Reading and fitness walking/hiking.

3.) Santa Maria Style BBQ with all the trimmings.

1. custom Late Lancaster 50 caliber flinter

2. hobbies: target shooting/reloading/reading/whittling/fly tying/vegetable gardening (I'm retired and can pursue a few hobbies.) :D

3. very rare steak cooked in a cast iron pan that belonged to my Great great grandmother. (Lobster steamed and dipped in butter and lemon is a VERY close second.)

1, Gun: Uberti Remington 1858
2. Hobbies: Hunting, shooting, family stuff, photography, reading, military history
3. Pan fried round or venison steak, mashed potatoes and gravy.

1. Favorite BP weapon. ROA --- just think of it as a hand cannon. :D

2. Favorite hobbie. Hunting....mostly bird hunting, but also deer/hogs

3. Favorite food. Anything, but beets, hominy, turnips, or sweet potatoes. Guess if I have to pick a favorite...ummmm...barbequed wild pork ribs and my own sausage.

Favorite BP firearm: My first pair of Ruger Old Armies...stainless, fixed sights, 7.5 in barrels, Sambar stag grips. They are what got me into black powder shooting in the first place.

Favorite hobby: Cowboy Action Shooting

Favorite Food: My wife's lasagne, although somedays it's her Mexican corn bread, but a bratwurst at a baseball game is heavenly...

1: Favorite BP gun:
That's my No.4 Enfield in .45-70. It's not finished yet. I'm using a surplus Gibbs barrel I got from Sarco after Gibbs folded, and a Remington-Lee .45-70 magazine that's stamped "1884" on the side; it feeds .45-70s flawlessly into the Enfield action, unlike the Gibbs magazine I played with for a while.

I plan to shoot it exclusively with black when I get it done.

2: Favorite hobby:
It used to be building and racing sports cars until arthritis finally got the best of me. Now I piddle with gun projects.

3: Favorite food:
Pepperoni pizza. Nom-nom-nom...

1) I'd go with the Ruger Old Army
2) It's tie between woodworking and shooting
3) Black Diamond steak with a side of crab legs

Fav. BP: 1860 if I can only pick one, but a ROA or a good flintlock pistol are strong runners up.

Fav. Hobby: Flying small (2 seat) airplanes.

Fav. Food: seafood/fish, but a good rare steak cooked over hot coals....not shabby.
