Can anybody tell me what the gun ownership laws are in Argentina for ex-pats. I know there is alot of hunting there. For an american relocating to argentina how hard is it to purchase and won firearms? Can you bring your firearms from the states to ARgentina for permanent usage (I know you can bring them for short hunting trips). What about handguns?

Thanks.

Thanks, that would be great. Need the info. Found a nice small vineyard and house for sale in the country there for $40,000 US and if can own firearms there may seriously consider moving there.

There is a guy on www.gunboards.com I think he posts under Raul who is from there and has talked about Argentine laws before. They seem reasonable compared to much of the world and a search under his posts or Argentina should be fruitful.

Make about 1-2 business trips there each year. Not sure I can answer your question, but the gun shops I've visited were well stocked with old Winchesters, Luger, and Mausers....remnants of the Germans who migrated there after WWII.

Have seen a couple of cable TV shows there dealing with the shooting sports. Couldn't understand the dialog, pictured IPSC style shooting.

One gun shop I visited was full of kids....school had just let out and they were all buying air gun pellets and targets. Must have some kind of shooting program in the schools.

Saw some really nice Old Winchester lever actions...no bargains, they knew what they were worth. Also saw some nice artillery Lugers, once again...not cheap.

Dude, the chicks there are major HOT!!!!!!!!!

If I moved there, I think I'd give up guns for about a few years as all my time would be devoted to chasing HOT Argentian women. Hope the wife doesn't mind.

Gosh, I totally dig that country.

$40,000 bucks huh.....Got to go sell some toys now.
