I see that Bud's has some Armscor (Rock Island Armory) 1911's chambered in 10mm for under $600. Anybody have one? Surely they can't be any good at that price, or are they an unexpected bargain?
I saw a Commander size RIA in 10mm in a gun store a few weeks ago now for $499. It did not look that bad but the money went for other guns I wanted more. Check out the 10mm forum as I think there are folk there that have them.
I had the RIA 10mm and it was excellent. It functioned perfectly, fit was good, finish was the usual Rock Island park. Only change I made was a heavier recoil spring for my heavy hand loads.
For a 1911 chambered in 10mm they are darn good. I really only like 1911s in .45 and .38 super myself. I prefer my glock 20 for 10mm. If you want a 1911 in 10mm....for the money you could do far worse.
They have been out for a good long while. I've sold several in full size and commander. They also come in a full length rail models in full size and commander. The early models were prone to problems, but they've worked the kinks out now. They are a good bargain for a 1911 in 10mm.
