I got this over to the range today for some sighting in. This rifle is an Arsenal SLR107-34, (SLR-107FR), the sight is a Kobra EKP 1S-03 russian red dot sight .

With an outdoor temp of 10 F there was not a lot of time spent messing around. Ammo was 123 gr. FMJ non corrosive, white box ammo, and Wolf green box 123 HP. About 50 rds fired today, without any hiccups. I had to get fairly close and tote a multi tool to get started on paper. The Kobra has some small adjustment screws and some locking collars. When your rough adjustment is set you can tighten the screws and fine adjust with the resettable dials. The adjustments are roughly .5" at 50 m per click. The Kobra comes with a tool which is best to use. Markings are in cyrillic so brush up on your russian or bring your manual or, if you are like me, mess around until you figure it out. (this is called the frozen fingers method)
The red dot sight has multiple reticles, but I just used the dot. The dot itself is fine, about 1.8 moa, and you can make it appear small by dimming it down.
I zeroed at 50m. Moving out to 200 meters some hits were acheived but would be better to get on paper out there as well. 50m groups were 1.5" if I did my part.
Moving to some soda cans and 2 liter bottles, things quickly got fizzy. With 5 consecutive 'splosions.
I feel like this is a nice solid setup, and pretty quick too. When snap shooting the sight comes up perfect. Also using the Bindon aiming concept, this sight can actually be used in very low light. Keep both your eyes open. I noticed that the 123 gr. Green box wolf HP had noticeably more recoil than the white box 123 gr. Might be hotter ammo?
Lets see some more AK red dot or sight setups if you got 'em!
