Arsenal? What Arsenal?

When I had one firearm ... my wife knew I had one firearm. When I had two, they were easy to count. Three was three as well.

Above three (or four) then my wife started to say, "What do you need all those guns for?"

All those .... once she stopped using the number of firearms I had and started using the term 'all those guns' I knew she had no idea how many firearms I actually owned.

After that, it was easy ... get a new one, walk in with it and say, "Just got this back from being re-blued - looks new, doesn't it?"

So - from having one or two, this is where I am now ....

I pick out one, she finds 2 or 3! her excuse," mine are smaller and cheaper" she says, and smiles at me. Man am I a sucker or what. Jewelry? no, she wants tools. Fancy clothes? no, she wants a new gun,(or used gun) did I mention she is a tomboy? Did I also mention she is 4'9" tall and 106 lbs?? And can't pass the ammo counter without picking up something. I worked for the Virginia Dept of Corrections for years ..... nearly a decade after I left I became friends with a guy that was an armorer for one of Virginia's Super-Max prisons. He had a gas-gun that he bought from a gun store that bought it from the State (actually he had more than one) So he sold me one.

I kept it for a year or so, decided I didn't need it and sold it.

About 3 years later I saw one on gunbroker and bought it.

I don't have any rounds for it, because if you have rubber baton, wood baton, or rubber buckshot, you jump from becoming a non-firearm straight to being a destructive device

I might pay the 200.00 and register it as a DD, but I haven't decided for sure yet.

Oh - it is a 37mm

When does a collection or gunsafe become an arsenal?
This is of course a matter of semantics, but still, here are my 2 cents on the question.
The difference between a collection and a arsenal is a question of intentions. If you have 50 identical AR15s for your own enjoyment, then they are a collection or "gun safe" if you have 50 different guns, from a 10/22 through singleshot shotguns and other hunting rifles, up to more military useful weapons, and of considerable value for a collector, but your intention with these guns is to arm a militia, then they are an arsenal.
Of course, in the eyes of BATFE and the MSM everything beyond one .38 revolver, one 20 gauge shotgun and one 10/22 is an arsenal.
