I was looking at lightening up my scoped rifles and have scopes that are about 9 1/2" long. I like the LaRue setup and am considering using their single ring LT150 over their two ring LT104.

Would it be ok to use the single ring version over the two ring version for a 9 1/2" scope or do I need a two ring mount?

Their rings are relatively wide and are used for Aimpoint Red Dots.

I would certainly use two rings on a scope nearly 10" long.

That is a lot of leverage on one ring, or the scope tube, if it gets bumped or whatever.

I figured even on the shorter scopes, two rings would be better. I was just trying to save a little weight. Two rings it shall be.
