What height rings do I need?

I'm doing a build with a Lilja Sendaro contour barrel. I'll be using Leupold scope base and rings mounted on a Pierce action. Any idea what height rings I'll need to mount a Leupold Mk-IV 10X scope? That scope has a 40mm objective. Will low rings be tall enough?

Generally low's work with 40mm objectives. You might need mediums with a heavy bull barrel though.

iirc, Leupold's website has a base & ring compatibility and minimum height chart for a wide range of rifles. Or you could talk to one of their service advisors.

Lowest that clears the objective bell with enough bolt handle clearance is generally preferred for hunting stocked guns (to minimize cheek weld issues).

With a 40mm objective, you almost cant get low enough...

I like comparing ring heights on Midway's site, as they list all the heights in thousands of an inch, not just low, med, high, ex high.
