It was the Clinton appointed Surgeon General Joycelin Elders who called for "safer weapons and safer bullets."So funny...
"Less lethal .223 round..."
personally, i want the ATF to keep pushing, there are so many arbitrary rulings of theirs on their books that go against any powers given to them, the more they push the more their past actions are brought to light as well, and theyre pushing is only going to dig their own grave with measures already being brought forth to get rid of the ATF entirely, and challenge the 86 and 68 gun control bills.. the more the ATF pushes us now, the more fuel it will add to the efforts to repeal those bills
so by all means ATF, keep pushing
I am completely sick and tired of the whole "officer safety" thing.

ATF Director testified in front if Congress today and sent another 5x5 message on where they want to go with this.
ALL ammunition is a danger to LEOs. Automobiles, trucks, trains, and other forms of transportation kill far more of them than guns. Yet, BATFE doesn't mention them. Could it be yet another case of a man with a hammer seeing every issue as a nail?
Holding: The D.C. Circuit’s Paralyzed Veterans doctrine, which requires agencies to use the notice-and-comment process before it can significantly revise an interpretive rule, is contrary to the clear text of the Administrative Procedure Act’s rulemaking provisions and improperly imposes on agencies an obligation beyond the Act’s maximum procedural requirements.
Judgment: Reversed, 9-0, in an opinion by Justice Sotomayor on March 9, 2015. Justice Alito joined except for Part III–B, and filed an opinion concurring in part and concurring in the judgment. Justice Scalia and Justice Thomas filed opinions concurring in the judgment.

The best thing I can do for my right to a hunting rifle, a shotgun, and even a black powder revolver is stand and fight for the AR15, a gun I don't really even like.

They have laid the choice openly. Make it, one side or the other. Either admit an anti-liberty stand or get busy writing your reps.

unfortunately, safety and security has always been the lure to convince people to give up liberty.. at this point youre no longer free to farm your own food and sell the extra, USDA says no, we created them out of FEAR of rancid food, though it seems to happen more often now than before.. we created the EPA to protect us from another boogieman, allowed the patriot act to pass for another, and everytime they try to pass gun laws they claim its for public SAFETY or "for the children"I am completely sick and tired of the whole "officer safety" thing. The world is NOT a safe place and no matter how many rights we as Americans surrender it's not going to make it any safer. It IS going to make us into slaves. Molon labe.
