Im looking to get one of these for my mossberg 500 persuader. Not to be "tacticool", but because my girlfriend is going to start shooting my shotgun a lot and the fixed stock simply doesnt fit her as it should.

Anyone have experience with these? How they handle recoil? Do they ever get loose after hundreds of rounds? Im open to other options too, except to buying another shotgun, dont have the money for that right now

I've got one on my Mav 88, and felt recoil is a little higher than the factory stock. Comfort with LOP made the gun easy for me (6'2" / 240) or my wife (5'3" / she'll kill me if I tell) to handle.

I've put close to, if not more than 1k rounds through her since I put it on, ranging from 7 1/2 shot to 3in slug. It hasn't gotten loose.

Usually the adjustable stocks are square on the end and have no padding.
Two things you don't need.
I'd look into the Blackhawk stock with the spring built in.
I have one on my P/G and I could shoot it all day.

Then maybe a "limbsaver" on the end.

The Blackhawk attaches to the receiver with (1) 1/4" hex screw. You need a ball end wrench since it's off axis a bit. Takes 5 minutes.

Blackhawk also makes a non recoil reducing stock that cost less than the ATIA stock. The blackhawk looks better and will work better. They also tend to come with a new forgrip as well.

Ive read some reviews about it over the internet that it sits to high to aquire bead sights, has anyone else had that problem? Will i need to buy some ghost sights for it? Cause i like my beaded sights

First - there are two basic recoils - ACTUAL and FELT (also called PERCEIVED)

Actual - the real punishment you receive - is a function of weight of the gun, velocity of the payload and the mass of the payload. To reduce this you want the heaviest gun with the lightest load

Felt - is how it FEELS to you - this is a factor of FIT. There is more to fit than just the length of pull - it is the pitch, drop at heel, drop at comb, cast on or off, gas action versus others, proper recoil pad, etc. This is different for everyone - even if your other is "almost the same" in size

well aside from the recoil, my main concern is if i will be able to see down my bead sight still. anyone know?
